So I asked what the boneless looked like, if there are any photos. She said there are no photos, and anxiously repeated the same thing again, that the lollipop chicken was traditional. So I started looking at their menu, looking for a pic, because I could sense there was a language barrier. She repeated again there are no pics, that the lollipop chicken is the traditional. I looked her in the eye and could tell she was not comfortable in speaking at length about anything else except for the traditional lollipop chicken. I come here once a year and I realize staff changes over the years. But for the $21 they charge for their 12 piece lollipop chicken, I think I deserve better customer service.
Small hole in the wall restaurant. The gimmick is they pull the meat up before deep frying. It comes out super crispy with a great crunch, at the cost of a drier meat. The sauce is tasty but not hot. Worth trying out. Definitely could be perfect for some.
The lollipop chicken was the best thing on the menu. The fried rice lacked flavor and was a little mushy. Crab Rangoons were mediocre. Egg rolls and shrimp were good. Music was very loud and it was cold in the establishment. Inattentive server/cashier.
They own up to their name, their wings taste and feel like a lollipop when you bite into it. Really disappointed. My boyfriend and I got regular and hot wings. The sauce was sweet on both, the only difference was the hot was hot but same taste as the regular. There is no seasoning on the chicken and felt like I was eating fried breading more than chicken. Also ordered egg rolls and crab ragoons. The egg rolls were not good either. Didn’t even really taste like a traditional egg roll. However, the crab rangoons were the only thing tasty, but how can you mess up something that only requires such little ingredients and effort anyways. I was not pleased. I was hopeful for how many good reviews there were and it being at least 4 stars, but I will never be buying from here again. Ended up throwing away everything after 2 wings and a bite of the egg roll. Such a waste of money. I could probably find a bar that has better food than this. The inside was disgusting as well. Not one table had been clean and there were no customer’s even around. Plus, the music was so loud I felt like I was in a club, so we ordered to take out instead of dine in. If you like lots of fried stuff and sweet sauce then this is for you, but if you’re looking for a delicious typical wing, I wouldn’t even try this.
This restaurant specialized on wings, which set it apart because they presented its wings in the style of lollipop with an Asian twist. The space is compact, but there are enough tables for dining and a bar facing the window. The decor is modest. The only thing that stands out is the colorful wall and the chicken emblem; otherwise, the place does not appear well-kept; the furniture is old and filthy. When I placed my order, there was an issue with communication with the cashier. I wanted to upgrade my white rice to fried rice for an additional $4. I was perplexed when she asked what kind, so I double-checked with her to be sure that if I choose shrimp, the price would still be same. I felt it was a wonderful deal when she gave me a head nod, but when I got my receipt, she charged me full amount. I'm annoyed because the cashier has no idea what she's doing. The meal arrived hot and timely. I can't wait to get started because it looked fantastic. The potstickers are golden brown and crunchy on the outside. The filling is so flavorful that it doesn't require a dipping sauce. The chicken is of reasonable size, however it contains almost no meat, only skin and cartilage. The sauce was average; it's just soy sauce, sugar, and a dash of vinegar with no spiciness when I requested medium spicy. The fried rice is adequate, and I appreciate that the shrimp are deveined. It appears to be moist, with mushy rice. In my humble opinion, upgrading the rice is not worth it. I had a mango smoothie for a beverage, and I was dissatisfied because it didn't appear to be created from real fruit, but rather from an artificial mango flavor syrup, and there were no toppings to customize the smoothie. All I could taste was pure sweetness. I had to toss it away because I simply cannot finish it. The staff's work ethics are questionable, with no one attending out front and everyone hiding in the kitchen, alongside no one bothering to wipe the tables or change the garbage, which is almost full to the brim. I'm not satisfied here, and this will be my first and last visit.
