Tgi Fridays - Mount Pleasant

We used to love TGIF! Sadly our most recent visit near Charleston, SC was an extremely disappointing decline of the restaurant. We arrived approx 3pm and the place was almost empty. We waited 3 minutes until someone came out (in pink crocs) and said, What do you want? I almost walked out then, but she did not appear to be the hostess and I know people have bad days...strike 1. We said the 4 of us would like to dine in. Then she disappeared without comment and we sat 4 minutes! I should have left then. Finally another woman came out and led us to a booth that had food under the table. She tossed the menus on the table said she 'd be right back and left! I was so ready to go but my husband said, we are here, let 's just finish this. After a long wait another lady came out (also in crocs which just appear unprofessional) and took our drink order. There were 2 other booths filled nearby. It 's was 11 minutes before our order was taken, and 45 minutes until food was ready, during which time noone checked on us or updated us. None of our experience was worth stopping in, paying for and nowhere near TGIFs standards. I ordered the wonton salad. Never again. It was 4 cups of lettuce and looked as though was chopped a week ago, limp and soggy. The wontons (tiny actual wontons) were just plopped on top of lettuce and were completely tasteless. The teaspoon of mango bits did not even count towards the salad. it was so disappointingly awful. The chicken tenders and fries were delivered cold. The pasta and chicken were without any flavor or pizazz. Even our drinks. They were filled to the top with ice, with only a few sips of beverage. Lastly, the menu has once again changed so drastically, nothing resembling what we came to expect from TGIF. I am disappointed at the sad menu, the dreary atmosphere, tables that were left uncleanness nearly our entire visit, the apparent lack of professional training of the staff in personal appearance, in hot to greet and welcome guests and general polite conversation. I am also disappointed in the quality, taste, and visual apeal of the food- that 's the whole business right there! There should have been beaming pride in every part of that restaurant, and instead it felt weary and begrudgingly. Do better TGIF or just close your doors. I am sad to have this sorry review for you.

I think they were short staffed because the greeter at the door was our waiter as well. With that being said, our service was not good. My steak was overcooked, but broccoli was good. Will not go back.
