Global Grill Myong Gourmet

After receiving our appetizers, it took an additional 45 minutes before our entrees arrived. It seems that the kitchen forgot to start preparing our main courses when the appetizers were served. To add to the confusion, we were unexpectedly asked about dessert options only 30 minutes into our wait. Surprisingly, no one from the kitchen acknowledged the delay or offered any compensation for the inconvenience, such as a complimentary drink. In the end, our dinner took 2 hours to complete when it should have been done in just 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The service, variety of the menu, and presentation of our dinner were impeccable. Each course was perfectly balanced in flavor. I can't praise enough what a fantastic discovery this restaurant was to celebrate Restaurant Week.

Carla, our server, was delightful in her explanations of the food items, prompt delivery, and ensuring everything was excellent.

Global Grill is conveniently located off the main road through MT Kisco NY but not easy to see. Interior is modern and spare. Prices a bit high for the location. Service is friendly and well informed but occasionally forgetful. Food is locally sourced, fresh and creative, with some Asian touches. Recently thick, crisp slab bacon was a great appetizer as was generous tuna tartar. Calamari special was less successful. The locally sourced brined pork chop was amazing. Wine list unimpressive, and $15 Martinis unrealistic.

After serving our appetizers, it was 45 minutes before we got our ducks. Someone forgot to tell the kitchen to fire our orders when the appetizers were released. We were surprisingly asked to wait for 30 minutes when we were ready for dessert! No one from the kitchen even came out to apologize for the fusion, or even offer a free drink for the inconvenience. When everything was said and done, we were there for a 2 hour. Dinner should have been 1/4 hours.
