Drinks weren’t refilled, they ran out of dessert and when asked they added a snickers pie that was dug up quickly to put something out. When I called to speak to a person in charge 2 days later, I was transferred to Emily Good’s voicemail, I called back and GM Larry took the call. This was the same GM that was in a chef coat slicing meat and did not clean, refresh or manage the dining properly the day of Easter, BUT decided to hang up on me when I rebutted everything about our experience. I am not sure what is happening with Mgt here or how they got to this point, but it will go downhill really fast.Edit: to your reply. Where was I to go with my guests after 3:30 on an Easter Sunday to feed them. After your reviews online, we decided this would be a very nice place. Unfortunately, after having a wedding the evening before and all your staff being exhausted and talking about it to us, was no excuse for the dining experience we had. We did eat, meagerly as there was not much to choose from. Not one person left with a full belly. As for a refund, a compensation should’ve been given without ever mentioning anything. We were served like peasants with leftovers for when we had expected a fine dining experience. I’m still waiting for Judy to return my phone call.
Went for a brunch. The venue was elegant, the choices of food extensive, the waitstaff friendly, attentive and competent.
Just ok, food was good , waitress was an airhead , very unorganized, should have stayed home
We have stayed at Cameron Estate for approximately 16 years when we come to visit our son and his family. We love the history of the estate and have always been very pleased. When we arrived this time on Saturday evening we saw a bride and groom outside taking pics. There were actually two weddings that evening. The venue has changed a lot. We immediately noticed they had added on to house. It is still a great place to stay but I would say it is more of a venue for events than the traditional bed and breakfast that we had always enjoyed. I do have to compliment one of the employees on our last day. When I went to get our coffee on the last morning I was happily greeted by Connie. We had been told the night before we were the only guest staying Monday evening.Connie then told me there was no one there to cook breakfast. We had planned to eat breakfast (which is included with our stay) and then head to the airport.I returned to our room and immediately heard a knock on our door. It was Connie, and she told me that since there was no cook there she would be glad to cook our breakfast. I thanked her and told her that would be great. When we went to the dining room she had prepared scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, juice and coffee for two.We told her how much we appreciated her going above and beyond her duties. We need more Connie’s in the world today!!!
Stayed overnight for my sister in law’s gorgeous wedding. Staff was friendly and we had a great time. We stayed in room 31 it was a little cold, they did have a space heater, but we did not care. It is gorgeous inside the mansion. Will definitely be coming back
