Carpentaria Buffalo Club - Mount Isa

This place is hit and miss. We had dinner (Barramundi) one night and it was rather ordinary. In particular, the salad was not fresh. On another day we had lunch with family and the food was great. Maybe it depends on who is cooking at the time.

A good coffee there. Pokies, meal it snacks. Even a kiddies room will parents relax. Also function room.

We would have given this 4-stars but unfortunately the young Islander lady taking food orders at the Frog & Toad during our Tuesday lunch session needed some customer service training -note to management!Our lunches were large, tasty and nicely seasoned, and one of the nicest aiolis we have had!The young lady behind the bar was friendly and efficient!A great little 'oasis' vibe out on the deck with water feature and a little lagoon, unfortunately the smoking area is right next to it, so found that a bit distasteful during lunch (needs a proper wall built in between to block the smoke).Overall really happy with the food though!

Caught up with friends here on our way through Mt Isa. Meal was good value for money, I had vegetable lasagna and husband beef pie , both of us were happy with our meals. The service was reasonably quick.

How good is this place. Quality food with good menu options. Had the tastiest home made pie ever. It was also great to be looked after by staff that know what they're doing. Well done all. Highly recommend.
