This was likely one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I was not the only one who felt this way - all eight of us found the food, service, and decor to be laughable, as if it was stuck in the 1970s.
We had a fantastic evening celebrating Grandma's birthday with our family. The meal sizes were generous and the pizzas were delicious. The atmosphere was enjoyable and we ended the night with a few drinks in their 50's retro bar located at the front of the establishment, which also has a pool table. The restaurant has a unique blend of retro 50's diner and pub style. We would definitely return, especially since they offer complimentary transfers in their limousines!
We attended a year-end even and generally, the service was good, the food was average. I had the steak, which was tasty but note tender; others in our large party had the chicken, which was rather dry. The panna cotta was good, though. Staff was helpful but one waitress was very rude and could obviously not handle the stress of an event of some 80 guests.
Decor is very unusual and bland, it doesn't have any sparkle. The waitress was friendly but didn't pay enough attention to the order and brought out the wrong food and drink. My food which was the Lamb Tenderloin was cooked well, however the pita was over powered with garlic and the salad made me think I ate a supermarket bought preprepared salad. The presentation was lacking. The other meal was a steak, it was ordered with wedges and salad but the waitress bought out mash potato and vegetables. This was very below average food, steak was very tough, the mash was grainy and very liquidly. Vegetables were overcooked. Very disappointing. The food was overall substandard, it would be nice if some back ground music was playing as well.
Took the wife out for lunch on her birthday and thought we would try somewhere we hadn't been before. On first impressions the place looks very dated on the outside and inside. I think pink chairs went out of style in the early 80s. We both ordered from the bar menu, I got the burger and the wife ordered the salt & pepper calamari. The burger was large but was far from Home made. The beef patties were pre frozen supermarket style and had no taste at all. The whole burger was not even lukewarm enough to melt the cheese. Was very disappointing. The wife's calamari was purchased from the same freezer at Coles that the burger came from but at lest hers was warm . Chips on both plates were good but not enough to save either meals. Would give the lunch menu a huge miss at this place. Probably the worst meal I'd had in a few years.
