Undoubtedly the best restaurant on the mountain. The Grimus family mourn the recent passing of Hans, who established the hotel and restaurant with typical European style. The Schnitzel is a Buller iconic meal, but the smallish menu offers quality hearty meals.The restaurant is decorated with pictures and objet recalling the history of Mt. Buller, and particularly Hans and his beloved skiing dog Captain. There is a small gemutlich bar, and much to be complimented. Booking well in advance is essential.

We were three nights in the mountains and ate here for two. they have a very good selection of choices on their menu. decor reminds me of Germany. the owner (or someone closes) is a skifan. I can see pictures of win and team shots under the snow. for our first night we have all their specialties the brot, the huge plate (it is for two, with verknochen, kransky, red cabbage, sour wort, bretzel etc.) salzburger nockerl (it is this stuffed dessert with chocolate and ice) we loved their kransky so much that we can ask in the second aftert dish as if we can order them. they were happy to behave. the cork tar and (I think) a...read more
