It came in a bowl that could easily have satisfied 4 people. When the accompaniments arrived a few minutes later, the cheese was fine powdered parmesan instead of the usual grated filandrous case that melts easily in the soup. Perhaps as well as the crusts that spread the cheese were hard as stone and remained it even after several minutes of immersion. It was not only an exception because later in the evening, the group of 4 next to us had the same entrance for 2 and abandoned the crusts. following the main dish I had a lamb. Okay, but nothing spectacular. The woman had a steak. Now, maybe in part here, but her French is limited, so when the waiter asked her if she wanted medium, she replied rare medium. Apparently, he then said ah 'well cooked' (which is of course well done) and that's how it happened - burned. she thinks she couldn't complain because she didn't realize what he said, but given the number of English visitors to mugins, the server should have known better? How does the rare medium sound as well done? We also noted that the tables next to you were receiving bad cutlery (fish steak knives) and had to ask for bread. for dessert, we both abandoned and opted for a 3-ball ice cream. It was good, but why not. our conclusion was that bistro is more a matter of quantity of which there was much in input and flat and less quality. serving a cleaner for the language between the input and the dish was not justified by the experience. There are better places than this one to eat.
A charming dinner for my wife and I, sitting outside on the pretty main street of mogin restaurants. It is true that the service was charming and joyful, yes the frame was charming, and yes it is a very good value for money. but. some of the dishes we ate were not only good or very good, but raised to a level that I rarely tasted. flavors and textures have been combined in a way that, I would say, can only be produced by a small number of chefs and then probably not all the time. it simply cannot be called a basic bistro - some bites of the different dishes made me turn my head. and in moments like these, the world breaks down and everything you feel is the pure pleasure of the food you experience. I'm not a gourmet, and the main reason why I'm going to the restaurant is to be with friends/family and have a good time, but really, this place made me stop and really enjoy the experience. I think I'm saying enough!
I was here before, but the restaurant changed ownership, so we tried it again. another charming place and an interesting menu. We were not disappointed.
An excellent evening. delicious food. I had langoustines to the Provencal to start, which were fantastic and huge and really the best of all time!!! !!! tasty lamb with a deliciously seasoned juice, watered from their beautiful house rose that was as good as minuty and whispering angel, you can pay five times more expensive!Fortly recommended
In a way, we were lucky. midweek, low season, not too many people. We enjoyed the bistro atmosphere. I loved the rosé rimauresq that was recommended to us, savored the foie gras, escalope lemon sauce and cailles (cooked a little too long.) appreciated hospitality and relaxed conversation with the owner on life and politics. and the grappa offered. authentic bistro cuisine, authentic menu, correct prices, good mood music choice. We felt very comfortable and if we returned to mugins, we will certainly return.
