Jamel's Pizza - Mosman Park

Amazing wood fired pizzas at Glyde Street, Mosman Park. All pizzas are made fresh to order with the freshest ingredients. However, each pizza is $20-$25 and during holidays and Christmas breaks etc., the costs go up as the owners I just expect... that the people are fine to pay. Waaaaaaaay better than a dominos pizza, but considering you can get x3 dominos pizzas at the price of x1 at Jamel's... It's not a bad reflection....

At first glance, this small restaurant looks away a side street, looks like a tin snack someone's Italian non-no of everything he could find, bits of old plum pipes, corrugated sheet, old tin signs, no furniture matching you to get the idea.... Smoke billows from the pizza oven in the back corner and the fairy lights all bang in the darkness. The hostess is rich, lush and bigger than life, and her hospitality is great. Nothing counts for much if the food is not good, but the food is wonderful. There's pizza or salad, so don't expect anything else. You can get BYO if you want an alcoholic drink, otherwise there is a small selection of drinks or lots of ice and water. We had Gorgonzola and pear and also a Margherita, both made on organic spelt basis. They were busy so we had to wait, but people were watching was fantastic. It's not boring. We ripped off the pizzas. They were fantastic. Don't miss Jamels if you're in the western suburbs soon.

I almost don't want anyone to find out about this place so it doesn't get too crowded... But Jamel's pizza and tajines are meant to be shared with everyone! The hospitality here is top-notch, and you'll leave with a full belly and new friends at your table.

We visited this restaurant last Saturday evening for a casual meal. We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the pizza was amazing - we even ordered a second one to take home. The pizza had a crispy crust and delicious, simple flavors. The service was friendly and the overall vibe of the restaurant was great. We will definitely be returning soon.
