Authentic Italian in a cozy spot on Stanley Street- expect a charming Italian waiter to take your order and rustic and comforting food for your dining
Awesome antipasti and pasta (especially the pappardelle), love the cozy feeling of the restaurant and the casual nature of all the team here.
I was born to be sceptical so when I read these reviews, I often wonder to myself if they are written by real guests, looking for endorsements of truly excellent services (as I always am) or whether they are written by the company themselves. Well, I am a real guest and here is my real endorsement for those, like me, who are looking for a great service.Fred was everything we could have wanted in a chalet host and so much more besides. I have pretty high standards when it comes to deciding what is good food but Fred's food was absolutely delicious and better than we would have had in any restaurant in Morzine. Just by way of example, the slow cooked beef was genuinely the best chilli I have ever tasted and the pork belly was so good my kids wanted thirds! And nothing was too much trouble - I have a dairy allergy and Fred was incredibly careful and diligent in making sure that I was assured that my meals were prepared without dairy. For anyone who has an allergy, you will know how hard it is to trust someone else to prepare your food for you. Beyond the food, Fred was the perfect host. He knew when to step back and let us get on with our holiday but he was also utterly engaging and charming with both the adults and the kids, keeping us all entertained with his endless supply of "riddles".I really cannot recommend these guys highly enough. My only regret is that we booked Fred for only three nights this holiday. That is not a mistake I will make again. Next year, we will be booking Fred for every meal.
Mickey from The Chalet Host Co. was the icing on the cake of our brilliant ski holiday. Not only was the food incredible (3 beautiful courses every night; a different early meal for the kids; cooked breakfast; fresh cakes; non-stop wine) but Mickey was completely charming and friendly throughout. He was brilliant with the kids (aged 3-7yrs), full of helpful advice about slopes and local facilities, a totally amazing host. I'm very much missing coming home in the afternoons to see a tantalising menu on the kitchen table. Thank you!
