The location is well-positioned for a visit during a day-trip down Mornington Peninsula from Melbourne, but nothing else about our visit was positive.

We arrived at the Dromana Estate winery on a Sunday afternoon where we first visited the cellar door to sample the wines. Service was friendly and informative. We sampled a few white and red varieties. Highlights were the Mornington Estate Chardonnay 2016, the Dromana Estate Chardonnay 2012 and the Dromana Estate Blanc De Blanc. We then had a light lunch, were we ordered one meat and one cheese board and might I say they were delicious! What we thought would be a light graze turned into a fulfilling feast of mouth watering chorizo, gourmet sausage rolls, pickled relish, fresh fruit, cheese cheese and more cheese with crackers a plenty. Accompanied by a glass of wine and a serene view. A beautiful afternoon of good food, good service and thirst quenching wine. Would definitely visit again!

Another welcome change to Dromana Estate at Tuerong sees this popular venue filled to the rafters each Sunday. Book if you want to enjoy happy helpful staff, platters and interesting Pizzas and reasonably priced and delicious wines. Dessert and coffee are available and the Cellar Door welcomes tasters and diners. We have just enjoyed a lunch for seven people and Dromana Estate has returned to our short list of favourite eateries on the Mornington Peninsula.

I used a voucher to sample the antipasto platter for two and our choice of red or white wine, the chardonnay was delicious as was the platter, we sat by the open fire and the wait staff were friendly and attentive, set in a lovely old home and delightful gardens
