Everything pretty professional, liked the service, the place, the deco and the cellar/bodega, where you can pick you own wine beforehand. Food was quality and overall everything was very tasty and...well combined. I recommend it
We had dinner here with five friends, several of whom had dined here on a number of previous occasions and highly recommended it. You have to park in one of the parking areas a short distance out of the village as the street on which...the restaurant is located is pedestrian and resident traffic only. There are separate bar and restaurant areas and the bar has some quirky furnishings including a fully set table and chairs hanging upside down from the ceiling and a fenced off area where they play an unusual local game. The degustation menu had six courses including two desserts and two courses that had a choice between two dishes but in reality you could have picked any four of the six savoury dishes on the menu. I had the ravioli with ham, followed by a risotto, then fillets of fish and duck with chutney. All of these dishes as well as the two desserts were delicious. All seven of us thoroughly enjoyed the various dishes that we had. The portions were all of a decent size and at per person you could not beat it for value. One of the best elements of dining here though was the great innovation of walking down into the cellar to pick your wines. There was no wine menu but the names of the wines and their price were written on the shelves under the bottles. Could have stayed down here for some considerable time. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Will absolutely dine here again when in the area.
Went here with my sister in law who is a local and had visited the restaurant before. Sunday lunch is a set meal of six courses, preceeded by a Champagne aperitif and wine with the meal. Even course faultless and not rushed, tres, trees magnifique.
Stylish and quirky restaurant in a pretty country village setting. Interesting, atypical and eclectic menu, quite a change from the if you don't like duck you're rather stuck' norm. A subterranean trip to select your wine is an unusual gimic, but don't send grandpa without...checking the insurance. Pleasant service and tasty food.
We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. Unusually the restaurant partly overlooks a decorated old sports court of some sort, not sure what sport, maybe some sort of skittles. It's quirky decoration with even upside down tables on the ceiling has been well thought through...and make for an informal unusual ambience. We were directed to a very well stocked wine cellar, we chose an excellent Pouilly Fume and a Fleurie We opted for the course menu at with a choice of entrees Plat, desserts or cheese. A couple of supplements for more expensive dishes. Our bill came to for including bottles of wine and a glass of Jurancon. Remember the limited opening hours Thursday dinner, Friday and Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. Great value eating experience.
