It was ok. Their salsa bar was weak! All their salsas were so watered down, no taste and their beans were even worse, it was like, dipping into a wet water mess! My husband and I shared a luncheon fajita plate and the portion was huge and good. The service was great. We will never go back. We live near Asheville, and we are spoiled.
Greetings from the establishment that brought the phrase salsa bar to Western North Carolina. And boy howdy, do they know how to run a Mexican restaurant. Two people can get stuffed here, with alcoholic drinks, for under $40 on a Friday night. Las Salsas doesn 't know the meaning of portion control, so prepare to be overwhelmed by an embarrassment of fresh and perfect food, regardless of what you order. The staff are on point at all times, helpful and friendly, and they deserve your big tips. I 've tried several menu items and I have never been disappointed. The only problem here is what to choose. I love the fish tacos which are always beautifully pan fried crispy fillets of fish topped with onions and cilantro that can 't be contained in their pillowy fresh corn tortillas. Please try them. If you are feeling extra gluttonous, might I recommend one of their giant burritos? Bring your work buddies, your family, your date, or just yourself, and come hungry. Did I mention the staff? They make the experience as much as the food. Dedication is everything. Tip, and tip more.
The shredded beef burrito was really good and the chicken and steak enchiladas were also very good.
Large portions and reasonable prices. The food is high quality and the meat is lean. They have always been great....but tonight not so much. They got the Taco salad wrong (didn't remove the guacamole- ok I caught it and it was their boo boo. Then instead of a new salad they scooped the guacamole off. So when I got home the salad had guacamole dripped throughout. No good and a bad move. I'll check everything every time now
