King Street Cafe - Morganton

Wow, this chef really knows how to blend flavors! The duck is absolutely fantastic, and the sides enhance the aromas even more. The service was attentive, and every request was met promptly and with a smile. I’ve heard this is the best place for duck, and I can’t wait to come back and try it again!

Maggie was our excellent waitress. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the wines, and familiar with the menu and its specialties. My husband ordered the lamb, which was fantastic, while I had the sea bass special, which was delicious. It was one of the best dinners we've had in the past few months. The ambience and location were beautiful. I highly recommend visiting; you won't be disappointed.

You go up to this picturesque little house and the aromas of delicious food fills your nose. The house has a wide selection of beautiful plants from the front that give the house this nature and the peaceful feeling. The veranda has the old timey corner ornaments of each support post and the length of the roof run. You go in and the staff welcomes you with real warmth as you have just come home. The Grouper Kochs Special was 5 stars and so was the shrimp and artichoke appetizer. Dessert was so delicious. Chelsea Maggie we are also professional waiters. Don't miss this restaurant! We're coming back!

Ate here Wednesday, for the first time, food was excellent. The Brie was great and my Fillet was amazing. Perfectly cooked with an awesome accompanying green peppercorn sauce. I’ll definitely be back soon.
