Morgan's - Morgan City

The gumbo contains tomatoes, the bread pudding is quite dense, and the shrimp breading is too thick and hard. Overall, the only thing I enjoyed was the salad bar. Also, there was tuna fish on top of the seafood pasta.

Edit: I've since come back a few more times and am giving them an additional star for a total of five! The buffet was fantastic! On another visit, I tried their bread pudding, and it was incredible. I also sampled their lunch special, which included half shrimp po' boys and soup, and it was delicious!

Everything I tried was fantastic! I particularly loved the sweet heat shrimp. I didn't even need to use A1 sauce because the shrimp in that sauce was incredible.

Stayed in town for work and when I asked another hotel employee where the best place to eat was, this was the first place recommend. No doubt it's good when you are eating with the locals and there was never a moment without someone walking in to get dinner. If I'm in the area again I'll be back!

The food was very good and our waitress very nice. I'm giving only 4 stars because we waited over 45 min to get our food. FYI the restaurant is located in the Clarion hotel.
