Pop's Southern Style Bbq - Morehead

This is my favorite restaurant on this side of the Mississippi. They have the best catfish, BBQ, and brisket. The place is always bustling, and the food is consistently fresh and hot. I live in Paris and drove an hour just to enjoy their all-you-can-eat menu on Fridays. My only wish is that they would return to the marina and serve breakfast there. Frosty Freeze is not great. #lakelife=pops

I can’t believe I never wrote a review before. The BBQ here is absolutely the best around, and even the side dishes are amazing. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the loaded sweet potato. It doesn’t really matter what you order—whether it’s the ribs or brisket—they’re all fantastic. I live about 30 miles away, but I never regret making the trip.

I absolutely love this place and visit every time I'm in Morehead. The atmosphere is fantastic, and my experience today was no different. The brisket sandwich was amazing, just like I expected. The fried pecan pie with ice cream was a real treat as well. I wish I had taken a picture of my lunch! Definitely recommend checking it out!

So the ride from Ironton, Ohio and you really get your money worth it. I am sure we will return!! Top Notch place!
