Here for the first time for breakfast. It is definitely worth stopping. It lives until the name Down Home Diner. Nothing beautiful, but the food is prepared for your order, and the short wait is worth while it is made. I cooked a sausage and cheese omelette with domestic frits on the grill, not fried deeply. And a freshly made cookie. Wow! The house friars were the best I ever had, and the Omelet was also really good. The atmosphere can't look so much, but the food is safe. One of the best breakfasts I've had for a long time! I'll be right back.
Eat was good, patty melts and chicken fingers are good! Thick juicy burgers!
The atmosphere is that of a classic truck stop, which means you can expect straightforward, hearty meals. The restaurant seemingly extends from the gas station next door, giving it a true hole-in-the-wall vibe. However, the service left something to be desired. On my first visit, I finished my coffee and placed the cup on the side of the table to signal for a refill, but the staff completely ignored it. On my second visit, my coffee was never filled past halfway. Despite the service hiccups, I would recommend the large biscuits and gravy, but maybe share if you’re not very hungry, as the portion sizes are quite hefty—all for under $10! I noticed other dishes being served that looked appealing as well. I’ll definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area.
I really enjoyed this place. It features a variety of charming little items and a bright, inviting atmosphere.
