Red Fish Grill - Morehead City

Great food had the grouper with shrimps. Amazing eggs. Friends had the shrimps and scallops with the feta cream sauce, very nice and the crab meat filled Mahi, to die! Great service and drinks. Wait a minute at the bar. Very recommended.

First, the atmosphere is welcoming, well illuminated and very clean. The hostess was nice and sat right away. It was a Sunday evening in low season, so we didn't expect any rush. Our waitress was friendly and patient with our questions, she was also aware of the dishes. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and crab diving with Pita slices for the appetizers. The four large scallops were covered in a spicy, sweet sauce and laid on a bed of cut green. They were perfectly boiled: the bacon crispy and chewing, the scallops have only so easy to give before they melt in the mouth... srumptious! The crab dive was really delicious, strongly creamy cheese taste with a subtle crab meat note, would have wished more crab flavor and less cheese. The Pita chips we expected would be crisp, but these were cushion-shaped soft and actually well paired with the dip, although difficult to load the soft bread with the ceiling of the dips. Our entrees were the Mixed Grill and the Crab Stuffed Mahi. The mixed grill was well seasoned, with the first taste of the tender lemon with notes of Cayenne pepper and a darkened taste at the end. Chicken was moist and prawns grateful, cooked for perfection. The crab filled Mahi was decadent and ooey, gooey cheesy, not unlike the crab Dip. The fish was not dry, yet chewing. I could actually taste crabs among the competing aromas of creamy cheese, sweet crab meat and fine mai meat. As pages we ordered the Yukon Goldmaischkartoffel, grilled zucchini and Koleslaw. The potatoes were delicious, no additional salt or pepper needed. The zucchini was cut in quarters and cooked so nicely, shipped on all sides and salted. The Koleslawin was not a hit. It had an off taste that did not sit well with us and she took it away and replaced it with green beans, on their persistence. The service was GREAT, Essen AMAZING, and we will definitely make this place a regular stop when we are in Morehead City in the future!

Excellent restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available. Top-notch hospitality. Incredibly polite, attentive and efficient staff. If you manage to get in before the dinner rush, service is impressively swift; on my most recent visit, I received my entree before I had even finished my bread. Every item I've ordered here (as I've been here a number of times) has been perfect. The bar is also very good. Ellis is a fantastic fellow.

Tuna steak delicious! Kids meal approved by picky 10 year old boy. Service was great. Has a wonderful view too!

That's one of the best restaurants we've been eating for a long time. We arrived at 6:00 and there were already many people, hopefully they gave us the only table left on the terrace. From this moment on, a 20-minute waiting line was formed. Our waitress at any time was friendly and very professional, and she gave us detailed advice on the courts. I chose the filled sole (especially the day) and my husband chose the tuna. Wow! Delicious and perfectly presented. I have a lot of food as the sole was fried with crab meat and a lot of shrimp and a delicious cheese sauce. The tuna was perfectly cooked and delicious, such as vegetables and potatoes. Honestly, we have very satisfied and well spent with this feeling of money. I definitely recommend his kitchen is a pleasure for the palate.
