Order from the cook at the food truck parked outside, who then communicates the order to the kitchen where the fish is freshly prepared. This unique system impressed me, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. The soft crabs were fantastic, and the triggerfish was outstanding.

I bought a 1 lb container of Jumbo Lump crabmeat from Garland Fulcher Seafood in Oriental, NC, where I have always purchased seafood. When I got home and opened the container to make crab cakes, I was disappointed to see that it wasn't the usual North Carolina picked Jumbo Lump crabmeat. Upon reading the label, I discovered that it was actually Mexican crabmeat. We paid $44 for this product, which did not meet the quality we are accustomed to. Unfortunately, it had no taste at all, so we had to dispose of it.

The seafood quality at this restaurant is amazing and the staff are friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they support local fishermen and the supply chain that brings fresh seafood from the sea to the market. It is a good sign that the shop is closed on Mondays, as it indicates that fishermen take the weekend off. The freshest fish are typically available at the end of the day on Monday, ready to be sold on Tuesday. I will definitely be coming back to shop here regularly.
