Bottegone del vino - Morcote

A small menu on a chalk board. Staff were knowledgeable but the meal felt rushed as food came out so quickly and our main courses arrived with my husband's starter, so he ate his main course on his own. That said, the food was delicious...and the tables on the terrace are great for people watching.

Average food in a pretentious environment. We came here for dinner, and we felt very unwelcome when we said we had no booking. There were several tables free but we were told we had to go in the glass box veranda outside. We insisted to...be inside but to no avail. From then onwards the service was arrogant and rude. The food is overpriced and average, we only ate half. One of the plates came much later and arrived cold. We will not gone back here again.

Found it on the site, short walk from our hotel and couldn't have been better. Sort of communal seating and almost all locals. We were made to feel right at home. Short menu on a black board but our server was happy to explain what...each item was. Excellent wine choices and great dessert. Even made new friends who were sitting next to us. Reservations, a must.

The service very good, the food delicious, take into consideration that plates are served in big portions, so you can definitely share some. Excellent list of wines, very good option.

We found this place via Trip Advisor. Great little place with inside and outside seating. Our waiter spoke a bit of English and once we’d ordered our food, he kept checking that all was ok which is was, food very tasty but pricey but that’s...Switzerland for you. We had a really good meal and the staff were great.
