My boyfriend and I chose Doc Magrogan's to start off our New Year's Eve celebration. Thankfully, we made reservations beforehand, arrived and were seated promptly. Our server also promptly greeted us and took our drink orders. This being our first dining experience at Doc Magrogan's, he also explained the menu to us, as well as their special New Year's Eve menu options. We started with the Lobster Mac Cheese, which was delicious, cheesy goodness. Very tasty but would have liked a little more lobster or bigger pieces of it. For our main course, we chose the special surf turf option (14 oz Porterhouse and Lobster tail with sides of Horseradish mashed potatoes and green beans) and Pan-seared Scallops with butternut risotto and cranberry relish. The lobster tail and scallops were prepared to perfection, as was the steak. All in all a VERY delicious meal with prompt and perfectly-timed, friendly service. We will definitely return next time we're in town again.
Very pleased with our service and accommodating staff as we arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately.
The mussel appetizers although plenty were extremely tiny. The seafood Cobb salad was good and fish and chips as well. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My complaint would be that we were seated at a very small booth and the restaurant wasn't crowded.
The food was ok, but expensive for the value. Not much fish in the batter and some of it was lukewarm. The waiter was awesome, however.
