We also tried the brunch, expecting to enjoy some of the advertised a la carte specials, but it turned out to be a buffet. They charged $9 for our 1-year-old, which doesn’t feel very family-friendly! The breakfast buffet had decent hash browns and eggs Benedict, but the sausages were cheap and wrinkly (surprising considering we arrived early) and they served frozen Eggo waffles, which felt quite embarrassing for a place that aims for a fine dining experience. On the positive side, they had the most amazing croissants at the buffet—better than what I’ve had in Paris—which nearly salvaged the rest of our visit. Overall, considering the service, price, and food quality, I'm not sure this restaurant qualifies for the top 10 in Moose Jaw.
Our experience was far from what we expected; it was an incredibly disappointing food experience. We went for breakfast, having reviewed the menu beforehand, which looked promising with some nice options. However, upon arrival, we were informed that it was a buffet—a detail we weren't aware of. In hindsight, we should have left then, but we decided to give it a shot. I have had complimentary continental breakfasts that were far superior to this one. There was no toast, no cereal, and the pancakes were inedible. For two people and two orange juices, the bill came to $58.72, which honestly felt more like a $9.99 meal per person.
To be honest, I found the restaurant to be significantly overpriced, and the food simply did not meet expectations. I ordered a medium rare steak, but after a long wait, it arrived overcooked and was mostly gristle. The server was courteous and promptly brought me another steak, but it came without the mushrooms and onions I had originally requested, and once again, it was well done. At that point, I was completely fed up. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place. It's clear to me why it has a rating of 3.6.
Highway robbery for what the breakfast “buffet” provides. We were staying at the hotel and came down on Sunday expecting to order off of the menus but we weren’t provided on.Juice and coffee is extra.Toast is extra.$25 for some bacon, sausage, runny eggs Benedict and frozen waffles. Oh and beans. Six croissants were put out at a time. There was NO indication at the front that it was a “buffet”, nor were we told of this by our server. The price was even kept hidden until the end.The hotel and restaurant should be ashamed of this service.
Friendly staff. They do have gluten free options (even 2 desserts) which is nice for a person with celiac. The steak was cooked to perfection.
