Déjà Vu Cafe - Moose Jaw

Great selection of wings. Had a milkshake to go for dessert. Friendly staff. Recommend for anyone. Great food for reasonable price.

We were searching for ice cream to end off our lovely day in Moose Jaw, and a random passerby overheard us and suggested Deja Vu. When we got in, we were seated almost immediately at a booth, but when my husband joined us, we asked for a bigger table as we'd decided to get some wings and fries along with milkshakes. As soon as we were seated in the different section, it felt like we'd entered the Twilight Zone. We ordered 4 milkshakes and an ice cream, and the waitress suggested that we put the dessert order first, and order food after we received them. The milkshakes took about 20 minutes to arrive, and no attempt was made to take our food order, so we just assumed we would do it when the ice cream came. After about 5 or 10 additional minutes, we asked where the ice cream was, and we were told it was coming. It took so long to come that we decided not to order any food (not that anyone ever asked if we wanted to). When the ice cream arrived after another 10 mins, my nephew realized that the ice cream had coconut in it, which he doesn't like (not the restaurant's fault the soft serve ice cream was actually good, as were our milkshakes), so we ordered a replacement chocolate soft serve for him. The manager/owner was actually kind enough to not charge us for the first ice cream. However, it took another 10 minutes for it to arrive, and when it came, it was literally a vanilla soft serve with barely a hint of chocolate. Throughout this whole episode, there was no attempt to take our food order, no apology for how long everything was taking, something seemed to be going on with a large group of pre teens/teens trooping in and out of the back of the restaurant, and one of the waitresses who delivered our order dumped them on the table without saying a word and left before we could ask her for anything. I attempted to ask this same waitress for something else, and she refused to make eye contact and was quite unfriendly in general. To top it all off, when we finally had all our desserts and had left, we realized they'd charged us for an extra milkshake, but we were too annoyed to go back to make the correction. I would have given them 1 star, but one of the waitresses was friendly, the milkshakes were good, and the manager offered a replacement ice cream for free, so I'll give an additional star. However, we will not be returning for a deja vu experience.

This place is freakin amazing. The chicken wing flavours were crazy. I loved the Vampire. But the real star for me was the milkshakes. I mean I still dream about it.

Our second visit. Our first visit Sept. 2021 was very satisfying, good and good vibes. This time it was the opposite. We were left sitting and waiting for 25 mins. after our order was taken. Orders were being filled for Skip the Dishes. We finally left feeling disrespected. No apologies offered Terrible customer service.

We ordered pick up. The service and food was amazing. My goodness the chicken was delicious!! Your Son had the pierogi poutine, and wings. When we left the restaurant we forgot to grab our Ginger-ale, one of the young gentleman working there ran after us outside the shop. Now that’s Service. Great experience
