Moorland Cottage

We were heading to the nearby tourist stop of Crowdy Head and decided to test out the best scones on the coast at Moorland. Well the didn't fail to impress. Thanks Moorland Cottage was a great find.

We have stopped here many times and have always enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The service is top quality and the staff are friendly. They have a good menu, but you can't go past their fresh scones, jam and cream. They are opened 7 days a week. They have group bookings and allow people to bring their dogs. A lot of tables and chairs thought out the gardens

The adds on the highway tell you it has the best scones on the coast and the adds are correct. Just 2mins of the highway ant Moorland and you can enjoy a café style meal, or just some light refreshments, that are excellent quality, while sitting outside in a covered area enjoying the countryside views or inside with a selection of local handicrafts. The are not expensive and the food is prepared by courteous and friendly staff. Great for a pitt stop while travelling and great value for money

Great place to stop on your way up or down the coast. Located about 15 mins north of Taree and has signs stating best scones on the coast. They certainly don't lie, they are the best and definitely worth breaking the trip up for. Have stopped here numerous times over the years and will continue in the future. Lovely tranquil setting with a good menu to sample.

The signs on the highway saying the best scones on the coast are true!!! They have a load of old favourites, coke spiders etc.
