The Cornish Kitchen Moonta

I had the best traditional Cornish pasty ever in Australia. For those unfamiliar, a traditional Cornish pasty is filled with minimal meat and lots of vegetables. While I wish there was more swede in it, overall it was excellent.

Walked around a busy Moonta town looking for something to eat but not be too full on at. Discovered this place by accident in a street off the main and since it didn't look too busy gave it a go. Glad we did. Yummy Cornish pasties - my only critical comment is they were barely warm - but really nice. Plus got a very small tub/container of sauce which was plenty for the pasty, much better than those silly little sachets you get. Staff heaps friendly and made you feel very welcome. Next time I am in Moonta and am hungry, will make a bee line for this place.

I believe this place is the one noted for its heritage style Cornish pasties.I bought a couple of cold ones to take home. We ate them the next day; they were filled with lots of even sized cubes of veggies,making it feel like a healthy meal to me! I did enjoy the pastie,. I would recommend more pepper, the salt content was good, not overly salty at all like most pastries can be. The pastry seemed to be commercial puff style.

Great choice of pastries- 6 people with a different choice- All said great- can't ask for better than that? Fresh veggies I'm pasties and great flavour pies- they have it all.

Make sure you sample the goods from this bakery they are dam good.The Pasties have a generous amount of pepper and lovely ingredients with a good pastry.The pies are really nice.
