The pork shoulder was particularly smoky and tender. The carbonara was a Japanese twist with cream and ramen noodles, which was tasty but a bit heavy for my liking. The drinks were also excellent, especially the shiso-based options with generous amounts of alcohol. Overall, Yokato Yokabai is a must-try if you're ever in Montreal. We make it a tradition to go every time we're in town. They don't take reservations and have a break between lunch and dinner, so I recommend going at opening or late night to avoid waiting.
Without any pretension, this is the best Ramen in Montreal. If you are a fan of slightly thick and rich Tonkotsu broth, all the components of our meal were a flavor explosion in the mouth. The service is impeccable and very professional, thank you once again for the excellent address.
Great ramen with excellent vegetarian options. The sesame broth was so creamy and the portions were very filling. Huge thank you to Adam for the lovely service and for getting me right before closing. I will be back soon!
Ramen lover unite ! Here is the perfect place to enjoy handmade ramen, home-made broth (veggie and non veggie), and a solid choice of fresh ingredients. No reservation possible, visit outside of 'high traffic ' hours if you don 't want to wait.
Best Japenese ramen in Montreal?Yokato Yokabai Ramen4185 R. Drolet, Montréal, QC H2W 2L5I really blame my friend for not bringing me to this ramen earlier! We were really lucky to arrive at 12:30pm on a weekday and still got two seats at the bar without a wait! I heard there's usually a line at meal times on weekdays. (Thank goodness ?The menu is very simple, there are not many things, topping can be self-selected, ramen seems to have only four flavors, soup can choose salty or light, green onions can also choose (this I like . I've heard that the fried chicken is very good, so I'm going to try it next time I'm there. We chose the Tonkotsu Noodle (19$ with a piece of seaweed, half an egg, and two large pieces of noodle meat. It was really flavorful, and I added tofu and my friend added bamboo shoots, both of which were great. It's a very good dish, so you can enjoy it!
