Located in Southwest Montreal (Ville Emard for the local Montrealer), minutes away from the Lachine Canal bike path. This new bakery is a nice addition for the Bagel lovers in this part of town. Authentic, fresh Montreal-style bagels made in a wood-burning oven. The bagels are fresh, lightly crsipy outside, chewy on the inside (like the Mile End variety)...another words - THIS IS THE REAL THING!In addition to Natural, Sesame, Poppy bagels, they have several flavour-style bagels, knishes, and frozen foods. Street parking is plentiful (unlike the Mile End variety... lol).

This is a fairly new place, but already looking like a local institution, and buzzing full of people wanting fresh bagels cooked on a wood fire in the back. Also brilliant pastries, and only a 3 min stroll from Monk subway. We were told we should try bagels when in Montreal, and I can't think of anywhere better to do so.
