The Captain's Boil / Feast of Captain

Food was not as good as you may expect when you choose food from its price.The waitress MADE me to pay the tip even though, I told her that I was not satisfied. When I told her that the food was too spicy and I had not ordered my food with hot sauce, she said it was because of chief and the kitchen. Are you kidding me? I know that in Canada, paying no tip is not polite but PLEASE it does not mean you can force a client to pay the tip when the client is not satisfied. The food was not good. to be more precise, it was awful and very expensive. Don't trust the pictures on the menu what you should expect is food in plastic bag!!! Avoid this place at all cost.

We went to the Captains Boil on St Catherine West in Montreal, QC. We have travelled all over the world and can say that this was the worst meal we have ever been served. I ordered the shrimp in the captain's boil flavoring. They were obviously frozen and probably refrozen. The most rubbery nasty shrimp I have ever had . The only thing they would be good for is badminton shuttlecocks. My husband ordered the fish and rice and it arrived as fried fish skin with absolutely no meat. We asked the waiter to send the manager. Spoke of the problems and she said we had to pay the whole amount even if we had only had one bite. We offered to pay half and she immediately said no and she would call the police if we did not pay the whole ticket. We are US citizens on vacation to the lovely city of Montreal, Quebec. We were there for 7 days and had some marvelous meals and were so saddened to be so obviously duped, taken advantage of and treated with disrespect. Please, do not eat here, it is an awful place; food, service and respect for customers.

Absolutely fility - tried one bite - food uneatable - tried to leave but the woman manager made us pay for the food we could not eat/Is it the Policy of Captain Boils CEO to force customers to pay for filithy food?Who are you to treat customers this way?

Ресторан прекрасный, всё очень понравилось! Садишься за столик, повязываешь слюнявчик и одеваешь перчатки. Приборов нет, ешь только руками. Хороший выбор морепродуктов. Мы заказывали рис, кукурузу, креветки и крабов. Интересный концепт ресторана. Придём сюда снова.

We had to wait 20 minutes for a table even though there were plenty of empty ones in view while we waited. Once seated, we sat for another 20 minutes while nobody came over to serve us. By that point, we were frustrated and decided to leave.Can't comment on the food, but we won't be back.
