The service was abysmal, with frozen food, dirty cups, and no plates. The staff did not follow any sanitary guidelines, handling food and drinks with their bare, unclean hands. We were treated poorly solely because of our race, and when we tried to leave without paying for the subpar service and food, they called security on us. Despite having Amex credit cards, they refused to accept our payment and insisted we use our personal cards. Overall, it was a terrible experience that we did not anticipate when we placed our order.
It was proposed by the hotel's reception that we come to this facility for dinner. I'm not sure why they considered it an excellent choice. Our group of seven should be known as soon as we had to go through... a metal detector to enter that this was not a place for fine food, but unfortunately we were at the moment and happy to see each other. We all work for the same company, but are from all different parts of the USA. The second note that this would be a bad choice was when all the choices of alcohol we wanted to drink obliged us to order a bottle. Remember that we book dinner. Who buys a bottle of vodka and Tequila and Bourbon if you make reservations to dine in a restaurant. No, you order your drink. The third challenge is when our filled water (small size) came out, the server has not brought us glasses. I guess we should give them around and drink them out of the bottle as if we were standing on a street corner. We ordered appetizers and they didn't bother bringing plates out, but all the tables around us had plates and no food. I guess she was too busy with shots with these tables to get us plates or glasses for our water. Once we finally decided that we had enough of the Subpar service, we requested the bill. That's when the drama started. They didn't accept American Express. We are sitting at a table where we all work for the same company and each of us has a company card that we need to use to refund our meals and they cannot find out how to use it. If it is suggested to compile the meal on the basis of the subpar service, then the safety is called. The part I didn't get up is that we were the only table in the club with people of color... So if I'm fed and say, please take my empty personal card, so I can get the empty one out, the guard who feels the need to insert himself into a situation where he doesn't need, tells me that I'm aggressive and curses his friend. I never called his friend a name that I cursed right now. That was his moment to create a story that wasn't. The real narrative was that the staff decided to look at this group of seven black and brown people, we were not worthy in their minds, the same service that the white males should receive. What they didn't know was that we were all used to pouring in farms above the level of this on a much regular basis and letting you find a better one to fit our standards. If you're Black or Brown, I wouldn't spend a cent here.
I went over the weekend to Terasses Bonsecours for lunch, Brought my mother for the first time was delighted!! When I came there, I was pleased to see that they had a lot of space available for 'walk ins'. The hostess sat right in front of the outdoor kitchen where the waiters stand (so in an obvious place where waiters can see us)... we waited about 35 minutes in front of them sitting there under a 30-degree sun... they always looked at us, but nobody came... felt like nobody wanted to take our table... I then went to a waitress and asked for a glass of water seemed like I would disturb her. The time goes by and I'm ready to go and finally a waitress comes to ask if we were served when it was very clear that we were not served when considering that they are all right in front of us for 30 minutes. She then took our order and was very nice about it... we then where said that the bar call would be our waiter for the rest of the time and not even I was asked if we had to pay anything or any attention to us. Then when the bills came together, they had mistaken tree men's order that we had to wait for them to find out what belonged to who and omg we ended there for over 2 hours over this lack of organization. Definetly would no longer recommend this place. Overall food is great good job chefs!, drinks are amazing, but only the lack of organization and the way customers are welcomed after 35 minutes is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Only a little 'hey we'll have been appreciated with you shortly '. I can understand if they are short staff or overbooked, but in this case there were many empty tables and many employees totally ignore customers. Very rude! Also important note. The bathroom, where absolutely discouraged!!! I am not the type to write reviews online, but in this case this must be mentioned and hopefully addressed by the manager.
The service was absolutely terrible. We were a big group and sat on a small couch. I took them 45min to bring extra chairs. We spoke several times to members of the managment who were neither helpful nor nice. Half of our table never got their food after 2 hours and then we were told the kitchen was closed now. It took 45 minutes to leave the invoices. It is so clear that this place is managed so badly.
If I could give this zero stars I would because after a 75 minute visit we were able to enjoy only a single glass of water. I don't remember ever walking out of a restaurant before this may have been a first for me! We...were promptly seated by one of the three hostess as walking on Saturday at about 12:30pm. We were one of about 5 tables on the patio. We saw three servers, in addition to the hostesses, 3 male runners, a dj, two manager types, and three people behind the grill, no one was working the outdoor bar. I know this because we had plenty of time to observe. The hostesses kept seating people including lTge groups while we were there even though the servers were quickly overwhelmed. 20 minutes into our visit, the manager type came over and asked if we'd been served, when we said no he offered water (a glass each brought by a runner) and we watched the manager send the server to us. We ordered a pitcher of drinks and lunch immediately, watched her write it down and repeat it back to us. 30 minutes later after having meatballs delivered to us by rinner who just dropped them off, (we did not order them), we flagged the server down to tell her, she picked them up and brought them to another table. We flagged her down again to tell her that she could cancel our order as it had almost been an hour. She assured us drinks were on their way and asked us to remind her what food we ordered so she could check on it. She left, returning with glasses and said our pitcher of sangria would be right out. She left before we could tell her the pitcher we ordered was Aperol Soritz. We waited. We watched the manager walk aimlessly around with grilled pineapple asking tables who ordered it, a runner drop a pitcher of sangria to a family who clearly did not order it and the hostesses continue to seat people, now the patio is full. It was entertaining to watch as the malee staff stood around while the female hostesses and servers ran around clearly confused and no one seemed to be sccomplishing much. 15 minutes later a runner emerged with a tray of pitchers of sangria, at this point in 30 degrees we would drank the **** out of anything including a refill of water which we never got.but nope they walked right by us. We got up and walked out. No one but the hostess noticed and she thanked us for coming and told us to have a nice day.
