Satay Brothers - Montréal

Tried 5 different dishes and all delicious...some spicier than others but just let them know your level of tolerance!! Try the laksa lemak soup - the steamed pork buns - mee gorang - satay chicken brochettes and the fish cooked in banana leaves!!! All but all were delicious !! Great food, great server, great atmosphere and great memories!! Have gone 2 times and will be going back!!

On a Saturday night, their street is totally closed, blocked due to new pipes and many orange cones diverting you away from this place. WELL... let me say that everyone in griffin-town must have been there. Not even walking thru dirt and rocks could sway anyone away from the Satay's, the place had a line up, the resto was full to capacity. We didn't know what to order, everything smelled great when plates were passing by our seats. We opted for the bar, simply because we didn't want to wait any longer, and as fast as we ordered, them steamed buns came rolling in. That being said, you MUST try the steamed buns... man o man. Loved the food, loved the food LOVED THE FOOD. you may have to wait for your table, you will enjoy the hustle and bustle of this resto, its not a quiet place that's for sure, but all the cool people were there. You have this feeling like you are walking thru the back streets of a Malaysian city and your nostrils pick up amazing food scents from everywhere. Top notch is all i can say.

Being sick isn't fun, no appetite, frustrated.. You get it. Not sure what to eat and decided to go with strong flavoured satay food and oh boy... I made a great choice :) The place is always packed with people, great vibe, the atmosphere is fun and youth. The food, you must try their satayyyyyyyyy skewers! Freshly made papaya salad, authentic laksa noodle soup. I also ordered a fried rice noodles, it has strong flavour, it helps when you're sick :P. It's great to hang out with friends!

If you are looking for a quiet conversation, don't go here! This place is lively and energetic ... lots of loud conversation ... seating is at long tables, on benches. But the food is delicious!!Service was a bit slow, but it was very busy. We were there on a Sunday night, and it was hopping!
