Ryu - Montréal

The dining experience was incredible. The interior design is both relaxing and classy. We started our meal with drinks (I highly recommend the Ryu Sour, it was excellent!!) and then ordered the small Tour de fruits de mer. Everything from the oysters to the sauce to the sashimis was fresh and delicious. We also tried the Baked Crab Handroll and the black truffle dumpling, both of which I also recommend. They simply melted in my mouth! Our favorite makis were the Mr. Maguro, the Hamachi, the Ora King, and the Miso Black. The Paradise roll was average in my opinion. They have a wide selection of fresh fish and the service was friendly and efficient. This is one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever visited. It's definitely a great choice for a special celebration.

We had a fantastic time at Ryu! We were recommended this restaurant by someone and it totally exceeded our expectations. We were seated in the back where there were comfortable lounge seats and a cozy atmosphere (although some may find it too dimly lit). We tried the oysters, a 12-piece nigiri platter, and four types of hand rolls (toro, truffle salmon, mr maguro, and scallop truffle). The sushi was incredibly delicious, especially the toro and scallop truffle, which we highly recommend. The server was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience visiting from Toronto. However, due to the high quality ingredients, the prices are on the expensive side so be mindful of what you order as you may not leave feeling full.

This restaurant is a perfect choice for a cute date night. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Just make sure to look over their menus beforehand, as it appears that different locations may have varying menus.

Wonderful experience at ryu! shortly before we went to the restaurant, someone had recommended this place very and it lived it definitiw up to the expectations! we sat on the back where there are lounge seats and had a very warm ambiente (some people could find it too dark). for the food we had the oysters, 12 pieces nitrile plated, 4 types of hand rolls (toro, truffle salmon, mr maguro and skalopptrüffel). everything sushi was amazingly delicious, especially recommending toro and scallop truffles. server was also very nice and helpful. overall it was a great experience to visit from toronto, but the only thing I will say is that due to the high-quality ingredients, the prices are very high, so they are mindful of what they order and they cannot leave completely!

Exquisite, refined, and exceptional! Yuri is the best sommelier in the world! The food and service are outstanding at Ryu Griffintown, one of the top restaurants in Montreal. The music is fantastic, and we had a wonderful night. Thank you, Yuri!
