Our waiter, Nikk, provided excellent service by quickly taking our drink orders and bringing them to our table. He was attentive and helpful with the menu as well. The escargot appetizer with spinach was delicious and was served with tasty bread to soak up the flavorful sauce. Our main courses were also outstanding, especially the lobster risotto. The mussels and pasta dishes were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful. For dessert, the almond cake was delicious and moist, a great way to end a fantastic meal. Meeting Nikk's father, the chef, was a special treat as well.
While wandering around Montreal like typical tourists, we stumbled upon this restaurant. It's a great spot to grab some food - tasty with a fantastic selection at a reasonable price.
This was our first time visiting Le Coin G, but we had heard good things about it before. We went on a chilly Thursday afternoon in February and were pleasantly surprised by how busy the restaurant was, with a mix of regulars and groups. Finding a seat was easy, and the service was quick and friendly. We opted for the table d'hôte menu, which came with a choice of soup or salad (both delicious) and a coffee or tea. Our dishes — Conchiglioni with spinach and ham and Cod fillet — were both excellent. Le Coin G is located at the corner of Saint-Dominique and Guizot, just one block east of Saint-Laurent. We definitely plan on returning.
I have been a few time at ' 'Le Coin G ' ' and was surprise to learn that they here serving breakfast, so I decide to try it. And I have to say I was not disappointed. The quality of the food is the same as the other meals served all day long, fresh and good . And as always the price is really affordable for the quality and quantity served. I do have a suggestion for the owners. it would be nice to offer the client some homemade or local Jam, and not only the commercial brand, to go whit the ‘’ Première Moisson’’ bread Even if it means adding 1 or 2 more.
Tucked out of the way off St. Laurent Blvd, this was a little gem with a nice terrasse on the street. I had a wonderful burger, so tender and juicy with an onion confit that just made it sing. It came with 'moitie moitie ' (half fries and half salad). The fries were excellent, the salad was a little limp but the dressing was very good. My daughter had the bavette with a whiskey sauce simply terrific and we also had the crab balls as an appetizer which came with a lime mayonnaise that was delicious. We had no room for desserts unfortunately and will have to return to try those! Service was excellent and we were not forgotten on the terrasse!
