Both our main dishes were very tasty: Ginger Chicken with rice and Vermicelli with Beef and Pork. Not top cuisine, but for the price it was a really good deal. Really a nice restaurant with an unbeateable modern and stylish touch. Can't find another one like this in Chinatown Montreal. We didn't drink the wine, but it seemed a correct winelist to me. Fair prices too. The service is somewhat special, but friendly :-)
I honestly chose this restaurant in Chinatown because of the lovely modern decor. The restaurant looks like it belongs in another area of town. The food was totally average but fresh. The prices are a couple of dollars higher than the other Pho Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown, but the decor is worth it. Menu is not very big, service was also average.
The atmosphere is great, until you try to get your waiter's attention (and we visited after lunch hours, there were hardly any people there). The food was subpar, especially given the number of other good restaurants in the area. The flavors were off, and it didn't taste as fresh as I expect from Vietnamese cuisine.
Had lunch here and the food was good; the usual Vietnamese. What sets this place apart is the atmosphere. Most of the pho restaurants in Chinatown are the general "pho places", with formica top tables and hard chairs. This restaurant had nice decor, attractive art work, comfy chairs and well spaced tables. The atmosphere and decor are a couple of notches above the other places in the area. Service was good and prices reasonable.
On a hot summer day, one can find Montreal's China Town sweltering and its restaurants hot and sticky. This place however, is updatedvery modern decor, and nicely airconditioned with plenty of seating. A welcome relief after a day of walking around Montreal. Its menu is pretty expansive and one can find something regardless of whether you like Vietnamese cuisine or not. The pricing is perfecct..we had the pulled vermeceili pulled pork and Shrimo and Meat dishes. Each one only around $10 CAD. There's a full bar and their wine is delicate and quite nice.However...service is not their main calling. We sat for an exteneded period of time wondering who out of the 3-4 servers wandering about may be ours. We were finally approached by a server, ordered drinks and the main courses and were served in short order. However...we tried to order cokes during the meal. No one came at all. Had to get up and find a server. THe meal was tasty (though their vermecelli needs getting used to) and the shrimp were fresh and nicely grilled (just not enough of them on the mixed platter I had). So after a very satisfying and envigorating meal, our feet revivied, and raring to go we were anxious to get a check. Again, after about 10 minutes, someone else's server asked if we were ready for a check. We confirmed we were and then....we waited. Finally had to get up again and find our server and finally paid and exited. If you can out up with the relaxed custoemr service profile you'll enjoy the place and their food. Had the service been better the rating would have been Excellent. Hopefully they'll gwt the message and do some training with their serve staff.
