Moleskine - Montréal

We took my daughter her friends to Montreal for her 18th birthday. Looking around for a restaurant near our hotel, I snagged a reservation at Moleskine. I’m glad I did. All six of us loved the pizza, and my daughter said it was the best pasta she’d ever eaten. The teens dug the DJ spinning funky records and we all enjoyed the isolated, balcony booth overlooking the bar. Funky place with amazing food and friendly waitstaff made for a wonderful, memorable birthday dinner. Next time we visit Montreal we are absolutely eating at Moleskine again!

This restaurant is conveniently located just a 7-minute walk from Place des Arts, where we had tickets for a show at 7:30 pm. We had made a reservation for 7 people at 6 pm, and our waitress immediately inquired about our showtime and estimated our dining needs accordingly. Despite our tight schedule, we never felt rushed during our meal. The drinks and food were served promptly, but not hastily, allowing us to have a wonderful start to our evening. Some members of our group even claimed that the pizza was the best they had ever tasted, and I personally found it to be exceptionally delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was also delightful, and it was just a short walk to the theatre. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are attending a show afterwards. You won't find a better option in the area.

Very good pizza (regrettably not for the gluten intolerant) and excellent apps from a small but well-focused menu. 4 of us enjoyed a superb appetizer of mozzarella di bufala (divinely rich creamy) and marinated vegetables with excellent home made bread, a couple of pizzas, a very good green salad and a superb ricotta gnocchi with braised lamb which i hope will be on the menu next time we are there. Save room for dessert. A small selection of good wines with some very good Chianti by the glass. Lots of fun and an unpretentious vibe. Sitting upstairs is a little quieter and the corner tables very discrete. Service was great, meriting a 20% tip. RSVP recommended.

New location , just out of the gate ... and this place hits a homer !! Very busy fun new location .. the staff had this down , pizza was out it this world , salad likewise , just an all around treat . Can’t wait to get back to enjoy more, crust of their pizzas is sublime ... really I know it is only pizza but this SPECIAL .. just try it !!

I have visited this restaurant a few times. The food is excellent, especially the pizza which is fantastic. They make authentic Neapolitan style pizza in a wood-fired oven. The pasta dishes are also very tasty. The quality of the food is good, but it is on the pricey side for what you receive. Despite that, I would still recommend this restaurant.
