The food arrived promptly after enjoying a delicious bowl of guacamole and some drinks. Our dining experience was complete in about an hour from start to finish! We even got to witness a neighboring table celebrating a birthday. Stay tuned for pictures...
As advertised, this place truly does serve the best margaritas in Montreal! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend stopping by for a drink!
I like Mexican food, but I am not an expert. I just like that it is flavoursome and honest. On that basis, I was very happy with Manana. It was midweek and the place was half full. The waitress greeted us promptly and warmly and, a bit later, allowed us to switch tables, when the (noisy, but well behaved) birthday party got a little noisier. You won’t spend a fortune. You won’t get “fine dining”. But you will come out feeling well pleased with yourself. Give it a go.
After a long drive, we finally arrived at our AirBnB around St. Louis Square and didn't feel like venturing far for dinner, so decided to try Manana so glad we did. The decorations and ambience were super colorful and fun, and the staff were very friendly. Being from Los Angeles I have a pretty good idea of what delicious Mexican food should taste like, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Who knew we would find yummy Mexican food in Canada! I had the chicken fajitas which were fresh. Their margaritas are generous and not very strong, which is the way I like it. My only complaint is that there was no complimentary chips and salsa.
Such a colorful place! Outside terrace in warm weather directly across from Carré St. Louis. Inside is decorated with things from all over Mexico. Alot of Frida Kahlo! Wonderful complementary homemade salsa and chips. Had the excellent guacamole in molcajete and the best beef chili rellenos in my life. I asked where they get their jalapenos because I never had such hot ones, usually jalapenos from here are not hot. The chef said at the grocery but I think he is protecting his source. Decent wine list ...prices very reasonable
