Les Tontons Flingueurs Brasserie

My wife and I ate there yesterday evening on the recommendation of some friends and we couldn't have been more pleased. Neither of us had ever heard of it before - don't know how long it's been there, but from the rather broad yet selective menu and from the dishes we had, I would say that it is a keeper! We both had Oysters @ $1/ which they serve until 19h00 for those having drinks or a main meal - they weren't cleaned to perfection, but they were all P.E.I huge, served with a tasty sauce (Tabasco on the side) and a lemon wedge, all on a bed of ice. Scrumptious! We ordered a 1/2 litre of Montepulciano rose - having been there last year it brought back some wonderful memories and feelings. Finally neither of us could resist their mussels and fries (à volonté) - We each had two servings and despite our best efforts, alas - no room for dessert! We will have to go back and sample some of their other dishes as neither of us wanted just one - there must have been a dozen things on the menu that we wanted to try!

My wife had the chicken with pasta and loved it, especially the sauce which was very tasty. I had the lobster roll and was very disappointed. The lobster had been chopped into the smallest pieces I have ever seen on a lobster roll. The seasoning they added was non-descript and the result was a very bland dish. The fries were greasy and tasted like the oil in which they were cooked had not been changed in some time. The sliced baguettes they served before the meal were very good. The service was good but not great. The menu is only in French so unless you understand the language, you will have to ask your waiter to describe every dish.

Had a wonderful evening at les tontons Flingueurs, the oysters were small but fresh , the ambiance was great, impeccable service , I highly recommend.

Oysters were delicious. Fresh food, great service. Would definitely go back if I have a chance. Went there with my wife and overall experience was fantastic

I am willing to put up with a lot for $1 oysters but the service here is so bad that it's just not worth it.
