Le Xvi Xvi - Montréal

The dining room is overly illuminated, creating a sense of urgency. The robotic bartender is an interesting novelty, but it may not be worth a repeat visit. The food is of high quality, however, the prices are too high and do not align with the overall experience.

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant, which offered a fixed menu for $28. The starters included a choice of cream of parsnip soup, which was creamy and smooth, or mackerel with cubed potatoes and pickled onions topped with edible flowers. Both dishes were beautiful and fresh. For the main course, we enjoyed poached salmon with a balsamic reduction and pork cheeks with mushrooms and creamed potatoes. The portions were generous and both dishes were delicious. The dessert, a lemon tart, had an excellent crust and the lemon curd was a refreshing palate cleanser. Overall, it was a great experience. We also tried the tasting menu for dinner, which included three courses for $45. We look forward to trying the brunch next time.

I really loved the unique brunch concept at this restaurant! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. I will definitely be returning in the future.
