I had the crevettes portuguese and it was amazing - really, really good. My wife had the Portuguese chicken and loved it - both served with salad, Portuguese fries, attentive and friendly staff, and a very reasonable bill. Highly recommended!

The day we went to this restaurant, it was quite busy (including those clients ordering to go). We got good service. I liked the "demi-poulet," it was moist and savory; the "côtes levées" however, was dry and bland. Some of the fries were soggy and salty (even if I tried to remove the sea salt). I ended up not eating 2/3 of the fries. I find the "chouriço" a bit dry (not sure if this is how Portuguese chorizos should be). The taste was okay; my son liked it. The squid was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The whole family loved it. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Good Service,Chicken is either amazing or terrible very non consistent and the fries should be changed from chip fries to the old fries.They really need a gluten free menu here.

Nothing can come close to Portuguese chicken - NADA! This recipe is time-honored and true: the family business that Barroso is (with more than a single restaurant, too) keeps up that fine tradition with one of the best offerings in all the land! A whole grilled chicken, tasty and juicy, with a huge green salad and potatoes for less than 30$ - it cannot be beat! It only adds to the feeling for me, personally, that the founder of this place came to Canada as young immigrant from Portugal in the 1950s... just like my father did. FORÇA, PORTUGAL!
