Larrys - Montréal

We came here for taking rest because tired from walking and thirsty. we got some homemade tea (citrus flavor), ceviche and bread( she said made from next door )it was what i was looking for! It's a kind of wine restraint and the light meal is also very nice!

Rare beef w/ chimichurri was absolutely divine! Service was great imo, staff is nice and they didn’t bother you too much (which I loved!!!, you don’t see this often at reg: tip restaurants. the environment was a bit chilly for me but overall I have been here a few times and will go again. I definitely recommend. Portion was also pretty generous imo.

One of the best wine bars in Montreal if you’re interested in tasting wines not available in the US. We also have small plates and found the food was good as well. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and they created a pleasant ambience. We’d return.

We had been very much looking forward to trying out Larry’s after reading the many positive reviews. We got the hamburger and pulled pork. They were good but not amazing. The service was the biggest turn-off, extremely inattentive if not somewhat superficial. When I asked our server for a glass of wine, we thought we would get it within 5, maybe 10 minutes. Well… she never came back as she went off to do some wine tasting with another colleague and forgot about us. We found at the other end of the bar. We had to ask another server to help and she even had a very blasé attitude about helping us. The check took forever to get as well as payment. We left Larry’s with the feeling of never wanting to come back. The management and staff made you feel that customers were more a bother. The place has a laid back somewhat trendy vibe but with the “I am too busy or feeling that I have other things to do than serve customers.” There are way better places with good and genuinely friendly service to dine in Montreal than Larry’s. Better food as well.
