Labarake - Montréal

Beautiful discovery. Meals were delectable and so appealing to the eye Too! They have a good and affordable wine list to select from. The service was Excellent Daphné and staff were so attentive to our party. We were a party of and they did...not miss a beat. Atmosphère was so warm and welcoming. We had a great evening. Had supper LABARAKE for the first time, loved it! It's a beautiful restaurant. Sat in the terrace. Had the shrimp ceviche to start; very nice, with coriander, lime, red onions and jalapeno. Than had the octopus, with corn and chimichurri, very tender and cooked...to perfection! My drink: le Gin-ger, very tasty and refreshing! Loved the service with a smile. Thank u all!

Everytime I go to La Barake, I'm satisfied with my choices. The Salmon Tartar is AMAZING. But when I get the tab, I'm always surprised. For example, I took the lunch menu that includes a salad, but usually the coffee (regular) is always included. But...no... not at this place and the server does NOT tell you. One more example: I took a lunch portion dessert of Pudding Chomeur. It was a small portion, perfect for a lunch. The check came in... for the dessert. WHAT? Never told ahead by the waiter, of course. Those little details really makes me angry and I'm not sure I want to return.

Nice place. Quiet Small menu with regular choices. Not much change in long time Tomato soup very good. Had the salmon tartar and it was delicious. Service adequate.

I had a very nice brunch today with friends. The atmosphere is very cozy and the food is good. The eggs benedict were good and the omelet was good but the portion was small. Service was excellent.
