It looks like it can handle maximum 25 people but there is a room at the back that could hold another 25 more. We were served by the owner who was patient, friendly and very informative regarding the various dishes we were curious about. One of the meals we ordered was a shrimp paste and she explained exactly how it should be eaten and my my it was delicious. The prices are great and the portions are excellent. I am definitely suggesting this restaurant to other people.Sidenote: They are closed between the hours of 3pm-5pm to prepare for second service which is until 9pm
My friend and I split two Table d’Hotes. As she doesn’t like spicy food, we ordered mild dishes. They were good, but too mild for me (not the restaurant’s fault). We had shrimp in a ginger sauce, and some kind of chicken with vegetables (not sure which item it was on the menu...see below). It was all very good. I had an imperial roll, which I really liked. It was very large – the size of at least 2 normal spring rolls. What I didn’t like was the menu – there was no description, only menu listings such as “chicken with vegetables.” I had to ask the waitress to explain what was in each dish, what kind of sauce it had, etc., and after she explained a few, I couldn’t remember one from another.Service was ok. The decor was not inspiring. I would prefer a place with more atmosphere.
Finally. A taste. of authentic Asian food!4 years ago I travelled all over south Asia and finally, only now, have I found something that tasted like I was there again. This was it.Amazing food, amazing service, really nice staff. GO!We got the crepe (this crispy rice flour tasting egg omelet filled with chicken (or pork),? bean sprouts and love), the dry soup (warm rice noodles in amazing slightly sweet sauce with pork, shrimp, coriander, squid, etc bowl of HOME MADE warm broth on the side), and the som tam papaya salad (a spicy, garlic, lime juice refreshing salad with crushed peanuts and hint of fish sauce infused properly). Amazing 3 dishes to share for 2. Very reasonable prices, and the nice waiter made us want to tip lots extra anyways. They are also apparently in the process of changing to BYOB! even better!
My wife and I took a risk on this charming little restaurant on Cote de Neige and it paid off "big time." We let the server choose our meal. We had a kind of chicken soup but this had the most tender chicken and shrimps I ever had (Even in Bangkok). The second dish was a beef and was also excellent. Came with a bowl of rice. Portions are large but not too large. Just perfect. So many wonderful layers of flavor (Tamarind, lemon grass, etc) that even Thailand could not compare. Prices are reasonable and service friendly. You must try this. You will thank me.I will be back !
I ordered delivery from this place at 6:30 PM and my meal did not arrive until over 3 hours later at 9:45 PM. I was informed that the delivery would only take 45 minutes so I was prepared for that wait. After an hour and a half, I called the restaurant and asked what was up and they told me that it should arrive soon. After 2 hours of waiting, the food still hadn't arrived, so I called again and asked what was going on, they clearly didn't care at all about their tardiness and it really came through on the phone call, just told me to keep waiting. After 3 hours, I was starving and furious. Finally it arrived over 3 hours later and the drive didn't even apologize, it was as if I ordered it 30 minutes ago. That being said, the food was very good when it did arrive. Because of this I tried the restaurant again, giving it the benefit of the doubt and ordering way in advance of when I wanted to eat dinner. I tried ordering again 3 separate times and each time I was told that they can't deliver. I don't understand why they'd bother saying they offer delivery if that's really not the case. If you want delivery and you're not close by to the restaurant, don't even bother. They'll either be extremely and unacceptably late OR say they won't do it. CHANGE YOUR POLICIES.
