Kinka Izakaya Montreal

We wanted to kazu next door (best Japanese restaurant in montreal) but it was closed. She looked great from the outside. the staff was really nice and helpful. eating was very average. don't go back. I cook better eating home

I've been going to this restaurant at least 20 times since the opening. it is great for small groups and any kind of start (as long as they do not expect a quiet and quiet location.) it really catches the Izakaya essence. the prices are great and they often have a special rotating menu. 100% recommended?

I order at least once in the month of kinka, and I must say I am very disappointed lately. the portion size is now really small. the quality is however top notch and the service before location is always great. However, they really need to check the portion size for 5$ pie and suppe (can be 3/4 of a cup suppe.) I do not expect any American size proportions and understand that this is a small apetizer and dessert, but I can make a full cake with onkel testu for 12$ over the road. so there is a better room. I will continue to order there, but in any case not order a few of the things on the menu until this is adjusted.

This place is a jewel. it is tapas style eating, therefore they are able to try many different things for cheap. perfect place for foods that are not familiar with Japanese aromes. service was great and the staff was very friendly. we were often and even brought friends who loved it. fresh fish and noodles with clean aromas. would definitely recommend.

I had suggested this place for me and my colleagues from France to try and we’re all happy we chose this place. The food was really delicious and served in a timely manner and the sake bombs were great! To add on it, our wonderful and down-to-earth waitress, Alex( patiently took their time to explain the concept of the restaurant and the dishes we had ordered. A+ customer service and would definitely try again!
