香妈妈 - Hong Mere - Montréal

Come here from some interesting dishes, probably more authentic than other chinese-style restaurants. Ther are always asian families eating here so that's good sign IMO. If it says spicy on the menu then it definitely is. The interior is a bit cold and spartan but the food is delicious.

They have two menus: one with real Chinese food with many dishes that are not for the faint at heart and one that's more americanised. Both are excellent; freshly prepared and nice portions. Bland decor; perfect for a quick lunch.

If you enjoy north -eastern Chinese delicacies this is a great spot. Very clean and friendly.We were pleasantly surprised. The food is good and different from the average every day Chinese food. The pork loin dish needed to be spicer, but that was all.We will return for sure

This unassuming restaurant does not disappoint. Very simple decor but the made to order food is quite good and authentic. The staff were pleasant and accommodating to our large group. Very large menu...kinda hard to choose so I will have to go back to try something different.

Don't be cheated by the dodgy surroundings, this place is great. Their menu is long with many choices. The Inside is very simple, quite small but they do take-out without any problem. I havent found an item on the menu that I disliked. The only negative point is that they don't have a liquor permit, so you can't order or bring your own alcohol.
