Wanted to go a restaurant called LOV which is popular for its vegetarian dishes. However, due to long waiting I started exploring other restaurant and stumbled upon “Gandhi”. Now this place had the best service, staff and most importantly the food( mild and yummy). All of their service suffice their pricing. Highly recommended!
Gandhi is one of my favourite Indian Fine dinning restaurants in Montreal. The menu has a great Vegetarian and Vegan options. The service is exceptional. The dishes here are Aloo mattar, paneer in cream sauce and daal. Nan is fresh and soft. I prefer the gulab jamoon to be served warm fresh.
Excellent service. Attractive ambiance. Everyone was very attentive and the food was excellent.
Celebrated by 60th birthday with dinner at Gandhi. We loved this place so much on our previous visits. This time I was disappointed in my entree. I ordered the muttar paneer, my favorite Indian dish. It was too spicy and the sauce was not at all creamy. My husband's chicken tandoori was delicious, as were our other dishes. Sigh. The service was great and the atmosphere as well. We are uncertain if we will return. There are too many other good restaurants in Montreal.
The food was typical of what we’ve encountered at Indian restaurants in the U.K. over the past 5 years or so. The sauces the #1 reason to eat Indian food were generic and contained coconut. The butter chicken and lamb pasanda were both too sweet and too similar tasting.
