Daou Restaurant - Montréal

We met early at 6:30 pm And started with a few entrees : babaganoush , stuffed vine leaves( vegetarian , our friends had falafel and tahini with a meat dish . Main course my husband had filet of sea bass and rice with vermicelli, I had grilled shrimp Also with rice . No dessert . We also had Lebanese coffee . Always the food is excellent and the service is attentive! We know the owners , everyone recognizes us .

Was at their other location in Ville St. Laurent. Food amazing. Have eaten at many Lebanese restaurants and this one takes it to a different level. The Darius salad was amazing, same with the wine leaves and the eggplant. This was the best eggplant dish I have ever had, they made it for me with no onions and nor oily , just like I requested. Just delightful. Hummus home made and so creamy tasting , very light. The beef shishkebob melted in my mouth .. so lean and cooked to perfection . Same with the chicken breast . The whole meal was just perfect. Very clean and Covid safe. Would definitely recommend! Staff super helpful and friendly!

The food was very good. It tasted homemade. We started with a Fattouch salad and a small Babaganouch plate. Both were very nice. I had the filet mignon half plate with french fries. The meat was perfectly cooked as requested. The others shared the full chicken breast plate with fries. It was more than enough for 2 small eaters. Prices are not bad at all. It was even less expensive than I thought.

You may have had these dishes elsewhere but not of this calibre: best baba ganoush, tabouret and exquisitely prepared meat dishes.

We were referred to this restaurant from friends formerly from Montreal. It was well worth the 15 minute uber ride from downtown Montreal. The most creamy delicious hummus and falafel ever! A great friendly family restaurant with fantastic food and service.
