Canal Lounge - Montréal

After having taking our then 12 years old granddaughter there last summer who loved it, we wanted to take our 14 years old grandson to enjoy the same experience. Unfortunately it seems things have changed. Our party, four of us, including three adults, were refused entry to the converted barge. We were definitely not impressed.

Absolutely lovely setting being right on the water. Service is excellent friendly and helpful. We had a variety of different cocktails (we were a party of 4) and they were all tasty. The Raspberry one was not too sweet and very refreshing. We also ordered a fabulous tray of cheese,dips, breads and meats while the menu says for 2 its enough for four. Love the wee dog too! A hidden gem to recommend.

Every time I have been at Canal Lounge I have had an amazing moment. The concept is unique (in Montreal), the staff is friendly and on point and the drinks are amazing. Place is cute and very clean.

Great place with great ambiance, the drinks are fairly priced and great tasting. Gives you a cool vibe that your not really in the city, hard to get a place since its very limited but I suggest if you are with a group of 5 or more to get the upstairs lounge, it gives a nice view

That's all what it is and with class and not expensive! You think you're on the Canal du Midi enjoying a Sauvignon blanc or in Venice, but you're at Atwater market with easy free parking nearby! Great formula and well worth the trip! Love it! Highly recommended. The sad part is that their season is short!
