Benelux - Montréal

The restaurant offers a lovely selection of beers, attentive waitstaff who truly care about your dining experience, and a picturesque terrace with a view of the bustling Sherbrooke street. The beers were not only delicious in flavor, but also very reasonably priced.

We like going to different craft breweries in our travels. Benelux was on our way as we checked out the city sights. The brews were decent (we’d skip the sours, but that’s a personal preference). Service was good too. The ambiance is a bit to...be desired, although maybe at night and with many more brews or other intoxicants under our belts it would have been better. The techno-pop music was not really conducive to a brew pub experience unless this is the demographic they’re after? Maybe it’s sustainable as a business model but the place was virtually empty on a late Saturday afternoon and we could only wonder if it was because of the music. Plus the place looks like it hasn’t had a good scrub since it was first opened. Industrial chic is only chic for so long and then it needs a makeover.

The beer selection was excellent and the bartender was very welcoming. We also tried some of the snack options, which were delicious. Although it was quiet when we left, I would still recommend this place.

We came here as part of a beer tour and they had some good beers paired with chocolate. The beers were good and we stayed in afterwards. It’s a bit of a sparse spot seating is limited.

This is a brewable with a good selection of beers. They tasted good. However, the place lacks atmosphere during the day, and like the rest of my visit to Montreal I found the staff rather not helpful. Nevertheless, the beer just made the visit... about OK....
