Asha Indian Restaurant - Montréal

Good Food, you should try it!!. We are visiting Montreal for the weekend and my Fiancé and I decided to eat at an Indian restaurant. I found this one via Urban Spoon. I read the reviews and they were less than flattering. But since it was in very close proximity of our hotel we gave it a shot.It has been a few years since I have had Indian food, as I have not been to India in 10 years, which at that point I was working there for a total of 3 years. This food was delicious and very well priced.If you have a desire for Indian food, you should give this a try.

Great for takeout. I feel like with Asha's the key to enjoying your meal is by knowing what the right things are to order. I've decided the chicken tikka masala is their best dish, a couple of more than the other dishes but its worth it. Their is daal is delicious too! I would advise Asha's as somewhere to get takeout or a home delivery from as the restaurant itself is a little too dark and quiet. Although the service is absolutely great. Would definitely recommend a visit!

My global experience was just ok. Say 60%. It took more than one hour to get served and we were 3 tables on a Saturday night at 19h00. Its definitely not the best Indian restaurant in Montreal. It was quite disappointed overall and I would not go back.

Good food the prices are a bit high but the food still good we loved the lamb curry the naan was good

I haven't been to this restaurant in decades. Back in the day when Musleem (the original owner) ran the place I could always count on getting a searing hot and very tasty Chicken Bangalore...but not so today. I guess that the new owner prefers to tone down the spicy heat and serve up dishes which are more in line with North American tastes and expectations. Even so, after several visits I came upon their version of Lamb Rogan Josh it is ABSOLUTELY SUPERBE! And don't forget to get a couple of their perfect Nann breads while you are at it! A nice, quiet resto with an relaxing almost old world ambience. Very nice place!
