If I could give more, I'd be 5! This place was ingenious of food, service, drinks, coffee etc. We happened to stumble over this restaurant and we're so glad we made it! We were a party of 5 and all ordered different dishes. They were all fantastic!!!! Very organized from beginning to end. We didn't have to ask for additional napkins, water, sauces or something else....it just arrived! The family that owns the restaurant really offers an amazing experience. We will definitely be back with us in Montreal!!!!
We loved our culinary experience. The two meat combs were excellent. Great chicken, good lamb, good chorizowurst. The chicken legs were tender and beautiful. Meat! The hot sauce is not really hot. Just say. I really liked the Portuguese Super Bock!... The Mojito was AWESOME! Our server was very personal and efficient. He was really good at his job.
A Quinta is one of those restaurants that I would have preferred not to mention when their cover is blown and EVERYONE begins to bomb the place, thereby increasing prices, reducing quality, making tables impossible to purchase... You know how it is. But don't make a...mistake, this cozy place at the corner of Ontario Cartier is not almost as modest as they would appear, and they really deserve a huge reputation! The heavy rain had sluggish me all day and I didn't feel like cooking, so I finally decided to give A Quinta an attempt so glad that I did it! I am new in the area and found this place during a random Google map search and died to try it as I LOOOVE Portuguese food, especially when it is Otopus on the menu! When I passed the other night, the place was full of people on the terrace, and the flavors that were thrown into the street made me a little jealous. I could even smell her grill when I drove halfway to Cartier! I ordered the grilled octopus plate for the recording. I was surprised (in a good way by the extent of the portion that came with salad (fruit mixture, red onion, tomato slices and dressing on the side, rice, and what they called “Portuguese Potatoes”. The octopus was perfectly boiled, with chopped red onions, tomatoes, leek, banana pudders (not hot, and a large lemon wedge. Her grilled octo was not overly dressed, so I like the natural taste of certain seafood and meat. I had one side of her piri piri sauce, which was the ideal supplement to the potatoes and rice, and brought a stronger taste, otherwise none of the ingredients of the meal had mainly heavy flavors, although not quite dirty. I thought the Portuguese potatoes were the kind of Parisian – the ones that all giddy the round type that appear in one of the photos on their website, but what I got were fried cubes of all sizes, skin on – ALSO MY FAVE!!! They were also really good * even better with their piri piri sauce* but I never had bad frits or potatoes in Montreal. It's obviously something. Thank God for such mercy. I came only through a third of the meal as I did not follow, but I could easily cure three meals from this massive meal! A Quinta menu offers many possibilities: seafood, Churrasqueira meat, and then some so that you are sure to love something. I also get the feeling service is very good – I just have a quick pickup, but the lady who took the payment was really nice. Add to this the quality of ingredients, crazy portions, incredible prices and if you take care of such things: the ambience that all add to a victory, but SSHHH! Don't tell anyone!
Stopped here for lunch and it was a very nice experience. tasty 1/4 grilled chicken with fries and salad for under ten bucks! not bad for Montreal. my server, Evelina, deserves honourable mention here for being super-friendly and providing some helpful travel tips
