When I went to Joe Merchant's, It had a warm, cozy feeling! It was really nice.I ordered a strawberry acai and it was delicious! The baristas were really nice,too! The food was really good, though! The environment was also amazing, I definitely recommend Joe Merchants to anyone in the Montgomery/Conroe area!!
We had 7 problems with our day pass. 1) Nobody working the day pass line. There were several people in line waiting to get their day pass. Finally the person in front of the line asked the check in staff if they could help us. It took a half hour just to get our day pass. 2) They weren't allowing food to be ordered by the waitress at the pool, only drinks 3) only 1 waitress and 1 bartender, so drinks were really slow 4) the system to indicate where you are sitting when you order food with a QR code wasn't working so the person who delivered our food, had a hard time finding us. 5) They allowed kids in the adult only area of the pool. 6) The big water slide was not working. 7) Towel station closed about 1:00 pm, therefore we couldn't get more towels or return the towels we had already checked out. We had to take our towels to the front desk. This day pass was EXPENSIVE! I would expect more out of the Margaritaville brand. One or two things going wrong or being short staffed is expected and reasonable, but to have 7 problems within just the 4 hours that we were there, it unacceptable. With that being said, the food was good, the waitress who was serving drinks was very nice and worked her butt off and the lazy river and infinity pool was very nice (when other patrons kicked the little kids out, ha).
Went to stay in the cabins. Cabins were ok. Air conditioning was adequate and room was ok. But the pool on the other hand was hot. The water was hot. Don’t know why but water was very warm. The facilities are not what you see on the website. They are all really there but a picture can’t describe what the grounds look like as well as what the status of the place is. Sub par experience we left early due to situation and attempted to contact front desk 3x, 4pm 6pm 8pm. No answer and never returned call. Was charged for extra day we didn’t stay no biggie not the hotels fault but I would never recommend this property due to the water park is dilapidated and inadequate. As far as enjoyment as a whole. Experience was 1 out of 10. Thanks
No pool chiller! In Texas! At this level of hotel, we were very disappointed in the temperature of the pools. The pool water was extremely hot, like bath water hot. The sides of the pools were black with sunscreen and muck. We ended up sitting in the baby pool by the bucket drop. It was the cooler of all the pools and not murky, hot water. If you are not going for the pool, you will be fine. The service was good. The room was spacious clean and the air condition in the room worked great. The bed was comfortable. Our refrigerator was broken and they replaced it immediately. The hotel breakfast buffet was nice. There was an 18% gratuity included on our tab for two, so watch that. The pool attendants and servers were nice and prompt. The Land Shark restaurant was nice and the food was good. Staff at the restaurant were very friendly. Just a little focus on the details, emptying trash cans by the pool before trash is flowing out and on top of them and cleaning the pool and surrounding areas…..just one step below being an excellent resort. So close.
